Stadar is a service of Mac Graver sp. z o.o., a Polish limited liability company (spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością) with its registered office at ul. Montażowa 10, 43-300 Bielsko-Biała, Poland ("Stadar", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Stadar API and the stadar.net website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or sending a request to the API, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What we provide
Stadar is a read-only HTTP API serving esports data — fixtures, results, rosters, brackets, match metadata, and (on paid tiers) match statistics and bulk exports. Coverage is documented at /docs and changes over time as we add games and sources. We don't guarantee that any specific game, tournament, or data field will remain available, and we may add, change, or remove fields with notice on the changelog.
2. Accounts
You need an account to obtain an API key. You're responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a contract. If you sign up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to bind it. Notify us at [email protected] immediately if you suspect a key has been compromised — we'll rotate it on request.
3. Plans, fees, and payments
Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar") acting as our Merchant of Record. When you upgrade, your payment contract is with Polar; Stadar is the underlying service provider. Polar handles tax (VAT/GST/sales tax), invoicing, refunds, and payment-related compliance for every jurisdiction it operates in. Polar's own terms apply to the payment transaction and are available on their checkout page.
Fees, daily quotas, and rate limits for each tier are listed at /pricing and are incorporated into these Terms. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law or Polar's refund policy, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices for future billing periods on at least 30 days' notice; continued use after the change takes effect is acceptance.
4. Licence to API output
Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, Stadar grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to use the data returned by the Service in your own products — including for commercial purposes, betting and odds workloads, media, analytics, and developer tooling. You may cache responses on your infrastructure as needed to operate your product. Resale of the API or substantial redistribution of raw data dumps to third parties is governed by Section 6 and the Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Third-party data and attribution
A material portion of Stadar's data originates from upstream sources we ourselves
licence or rely on — including Liquipedia (CC-BY-SA 3.0), Riot Games' LoL Esports API,
OpenDota, and tournament-organiser public pages. The licence terms differ by source.
Stadar identifies the source(s) of every record in each API response under the _sources block.
You must preserve and honour the licence of each source for any data you re-display or redistribute. In particular, Liquipedia-derived content must be attributed and any work you publish that incorporates a substantial portion of it must carry forward the CC-BY-SA 3.0 share-alike obligation for that portion. The full policy is at /attribution and forms part of these Terms.
6. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Among other things, the AUP allows commercial betting and odds use cases, requires that you operate any downstream gambling product yourself (and not hold us out as the operator), prohibits circumventing rate limits, and restricts access from sanctioned jurisdictions.
7. Availability
We work hard to keep the Service available, but we don't promise an uptime SLA on Free or Hobbyist tiers. Pro and Scale tiers receive the operational status published at status.stadar.net; a contractual SLA is being introduced as part of our v2 roadmap and is not yet in force. Scheduled maintenance is announced on the status page. Upstream sources may rate-limit or temporarily restrict our access; when they do, the affected fields may stale or disappear from responses without notice.
8. Intellectual property
The Service — including the API design, documentation, code, brand, and the schemas, normalisations, and identifier system we maintain — is owned by Stadar and protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service to you. Feedback you send us about the Service may be used by us without obligation.
9. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other's non-public information disclosed in the course of using or providing the Service with the same care it uses for its own confidential information, and at minimum a reasonable standard of care. Customer-specific account data is treated as confidential by Stadar. Public esports data served via the API is not confidential.
10. Term and termination
These Terms apply from the moment you first access the Service and continue until your account is closed. You can close your account at any time from the customer portal or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or the AUP, if a payment fails and isn't cured within 14 days, or if we're required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (licences to already-cached data, attribution obligations, liability caps, indemnities, governing law) do.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stadar disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. Esports data is aggregated from third parties and may contain errors, delays, or omissions. The Service is not intended to be relied on for safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decisions beyond the betting use case it was built for, and you remain responsible for verifying data before acting on it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stadar's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service — regardless of the form of action — is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to Polar for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) EUR 100. Stadar will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for fraud).
13. Indemnity
You'll indemnify and hold Stadar harmless from any third-party claim arising out of (a) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the AUP, (b) your failure to honour the attribution or share-alike obligations of an upstream source, or (c) the operation of any downstream product you build on the Service — including gambling products you operate.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Poland. The Polish court competent for the registered seat of Mac Graver sp. z o.o. has exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, except that we may bring proceedings for injunctive relief in any competent court to protect our intellectual property or confidential information. If you are a consumer (rather than a business customer) resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you mandatory protections, those protections are not affected, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you are resident in line with Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I bis) and equivalent rules.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced on the changelog and, where you have an active subscription, by email to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date is acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Notices and contact
Legal notices to Stadar should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line "Legal Notice", and a copy by post to Mac Graver sp. z o.o., ul. Montażowa 10, 43-300 Bielsko-Biała, Poland. Notices to you will be sent to the email on your account.
